Whats up with live music in Warsaw - who plays when and where?

I know that theoretically you can find lots of information on activist.pl, but that's not the point...

Why the easiest way to find out about the concert of "Okean Elzi" was from outdoor posters? and that it was cancelled from friends who could have free tickets but did not called untill it was cancelled?

Do you know that Mariza is going to sing in Warsaw in Feb'07? Unfortunately in Sala Kongresowa ;( Who has free tickets to that one?

Is there any live performance of any Soviet bands or any Balkan or any Arab or any Turkish bands ever in Warsaw? Would love to go!

Is there anyone who would care to go on friday or saturday night to listen (and, if lucky, to enjoy and jump) to some cool live band anywhere?

What is "Okean Elzi" ?
I would reccomend you for this week to go to "What Tammy Needs to Know" performed by Lois Weaver on 12 of december: ul. Marszałkowska 8 - start: 19.00 - for free!!!

Okean Elzi is an excellent Ukranian band. One of the top popular bands both in Ukrain and in Russia.

Unfortunately, 19:00 - is out of luck for me :-( I am slave to my responsibilities which means I can consider anything that is after 21:00.

Another observation: they do not advertise on the radio over here the concerts or performances of the good bands - usually only posh ones that are played in Sala Kongresowa (with is a terrible place for a good concert).
