The Queen of Pop, Madonna, has decided to extend her "Sticky & Sweet" Tour and hit the road again in the summer of 2009 to visit cities she's never before graced – including Warsaw.
Madonna will shake it at Bemowo Airport, on the outskirts of Warsaw, on August 15.
Accompanying her on tour is Paul Oakenfold, one of the most important names in club music, having produced remixes for The Rolling Stones, Justin Timberlake, Snoop Dogg and more.
"This is a first for me. I've never extended a tour before. I'm excited to be going back on the road, visiting places I've never been and returning to places I love," enthused Madonna about the extension.
On this tour, Madonna will visit cites she has never before visited which include, besides Warsaw, Werchter (Belgium), Marseille (France), Hmaburg (Germany), Oslo (Norway), Helsinki (Finland), Tallin (Estonia) and Lubljana (Slovenia). As well, she will visit old favorites including Milan (Italy), Madrid (Spain), Goteberg (Sweden) and Munich (Germany).
The first half of the Stick & Sweet Tour, taking place last year, was one of the highest-selling concert tours of any solo artist in history. Over two million fans from 58 countries attended. (mmj) |
