Great movie, sad, strong, surreal, awesome special effects. This movie is a joint venture of European and American artists and film makers.


BODY OF LIES *********************
Polish title: W sieci kłamstw
Director: Ridley Scott
Celebs: Leonardo DiCaprio, Russell Crowe

Made by one of the best directors, great action movie, first half of the movie is breathtaking, later goes a bit too long, but in overall one of the best global terrorism type movies. The main character is very similar, almost a copy of the one from the movie "Blood diamond", played by DiCaprio as well.
So "BODY OF LIES" is like a continuation of the adventures of Danny Archer.

Great movie, from the director of the "City of God". Must see or read, the book is great sci-fi thriller with fictional plot but shows pure life and human nature in it's best and worse parts.!

Rocknrolla is so so...too much talking and no action :)

I recommend Bond
yes, James Bond - 007, The Quantum of Solace, as a pure action made by the guys who made the Bourne's series

Quantum, is maybe missing some of Bond's jokes and tricks, and as some say the secret intelligence behind it, but it has very fresh ideas in action scenes. Bond is riding and driving almost everything in this movie. He is as aggressive and straight forward killer as in Casino Royal.

My opinion is if they made it in more warmer colors it would hit up the action, but this one is almost black and white in some parts, too cold, a bit too cold. like this web site :)

Hi Srg...it looks like you're having a bad day there....with this weather what else would you recommend doing in Warsaw besides going to the movies. Any ideas?

Well, the question is outside of the scope of niko's subject (movies), so would be the answer :)

Bad was not the day but expirience with movies in Warsaw. Last weekend I felt like going to see a movie. So, I opened CJG of GW and checked what's on. Except of one or two premieras (which I intentionally skip, as they are always full of people that can turn almost anyone sane into a sociopat) all the rest was crap. Suddenly I saw in Arkadia there still was that movie of Cohen brothers that I missed. So, I went through half the city just to find out that it was a mistake in program. At 10 pm on saturday night they were showing ONLY crap and, expectadly, there were lines of people to watch it.

So, my advice for an evening in Warsaw - if solo - get a good DVD in BH (niko, any advice?) or a book. Or, if you have a good company, go for a beer.
