there was a time when posters for foreign movies where made by local polish artists.
now we have only movie titles translated into polish, but looking at this
blog post
i want this times back, it was fun :-0
my favorite is the poster for the movie

Yeah, it was old good polish school of poster, now oldstylish. Check Wilanów Poster Museum at
www.postermuseum.pl
It is good place for visit - museum and royal Sobieski palace and park (

his works are great continuation of the tradition, but as for me showbiz sets strict rules nowadays, limiting the imagination of the artist.

Isn't it true that most of nowadays posters in Poland are copies of western movie posters? On other hand posters for polish movies are nothing special - just some photo from movie, some selected fonts and thats all. I am not specialist but it is my feeling. Field of advertisements shows more creativity. Some polish tv ads are funny and piece of art. Old posters have passed away.
