Warsaw International Airport

Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport (WAW)

Frederic Chopin Airport is located 10km (6 miles) southwest of the city center. There are 2 terminals at the airport: Terminal 1 serves international flights and Terminal 2 (Terminal Etiuda) serves domestic and European flights. Airport facilities include: Bank, Bureau de Change, Post Office, Tourist Information Center, shops, bars and restaurants, conference facilities, and car rental. There are three car parks with both short-term parking and long-term parking availability. The journey from the airport to the city center takes about 25-40 minutes by bus or 20-30 minutes by car.

Bus
Municipal bus lines (No 188 and 175) operate daily from 4.50am to 11pm and link the airport with the railway station, Old Town and city center. Scheduled buses run every 10-15 minutes and every 8 minutes in peak hours. There is also a night bus service (No. 611) from the airport that terminates at the main railway station, which operates between 10.45pm and 4.45am at 30-minute intervals. The bus tickets are purchased from the "Ruch" kiosks throughout the airport or from the Tourist Information desk in the Departure Hall. Fares are PLN 2.40 in the day and PLN 7.20 at night. You also have to pay the same fares for luggage.

The Polski Express bus line provides direct regular bus connections to 30 towns in Poland. The bus terminal is located in front of the Arrivals Hall. Buses to the city center depart every 20 minutes. The tickets are sold by drivers and cost PLN 6. For information, Tel: +48 22 620 0330.
There are Shuttle Bus services operating to/from many hotels at their clients' request.

Taxi
The taxi stand is located in front of the Arrivals Hall. Radio-taxi service may also be called. The taxi fare to the city center costs around PLN 30-PLN 40.

Make sure to use only official taxis from the taxi stand. Inside the arrivals hall many taxi drivers offer their services to unaware arriving passengers. These are not drivers of official taxis and although their taxis are metered, the rate is approximately three times higher than in official taxis.

Bydgoszcz Airport:

The airport is situated 3.5km outside of the city center.

Gdansk Airport:

The airport is situated 10km west of the city center in the Rębiechowo district. This is a small airport with good facilities. There is a taxi rank in front of the terminal and a taxi fare to town will cost around PLN 40. There is a regular bus service terminating at the main railway station and a ticket costs PLN 2.20. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Car hire companies at the airport: Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, and National.

Katowice Airport:

The airport is situated 33km from the city center. Bus (regular services) and taxi services are available.

Krakow Airport:

The airport is situated 18km from the city center. A taxi fare into town will cost around PLN 30-PLN 60 depending on the destination. The no.192 bus passes the Old Town and the railway station and a ticket will cost PLN 2.20; Bus no. 208 also runs to the railway station and a ticket costs PLN 2.60. If you have large bags, you need to buy a ticket for them too. Tickets are purchased from the driver.

The airport is situated 7km west of the city center. The cheapest way into town is by bus No. 78, which runs every half hour (every hour on weekends). Journey time is about 15 minutes.

The airport is situated 45km from the city center.

The airport is located 13km from the city center. Radio Taxi Plus are located in front of the Terminal building (Tel: 0601 700 753). Car rental companies are Avis (Tel: +48 71 358 1293); Budget (Tel: +48 71 358 1292); Europcar (Tel: +48 71 358 1291); and Hertz (Tel: +48 71 358 12944). Public bus no. 406 operates every 20-30 minutes on weekdays to the Central Railway/Coach Station.

Domestic flights operated by LOT Airlines depart from Warsaw to many destinations in Poland including Gdansk, Katowice, Krakow, Poznan, Szczecin and Wroclaw airports. These airports also have international flights available.
