Activities for 13-year-old boy

My wife and 13-year-old son are visiting Warsaw tomorrow for the weekend. The boy loves history - could I have suggestions please on things to do with him?

Also, ideas for a day trip do-able by public transport would be nice.

There is a tourist tram going around warsaw on the weekends, Look on the ZTM website for more information. Good luck and enjoy the weekend :)
