Renting A Place

Greetings everyone,

I am looking for a 2 bedroom apartment to rent starting this October in Warsaw. I have been checking ads on Gratka and Gazeta and it has many apartments for rent listed ranging from 1700 to 2300 zloty per month. I have talked to a person who lives in Warsaw and he said that it will be impossible for me to find anything for October because there are so many students there that every place gets taken. I find that hard to believe, just look at the ads, again so many and everyday new ones get added. I was wondering if I could find a place this month or maybe August and sign a contract to start renting in October, or would I have to wait till September or October to find it for that time. Also a lot of these places have agencies renting the place out, are they reliable? Here in North America they are very reliable and it's how things are done, but how about in Poland?
Anything I need to know?

Hi Mark,
I think agencies are reliable, but usually they add additional value for their services:)
Students might be a problem in districts close to the university but in general there is no shortage with flats for renting and buying in Warsaw at the moment.
You need to think also about the district in which you want to rent, transportation, traffic jams are becoming more and more problematic, sometimes it's better to pay a bit more but save an extra hour or two of time you would spend in public transport.
:)
Where do you want to rent a flat?

Hi Mark,

I'll will be renting a 2BD apartment with a large living room and separate kitchen and dining area in a very nice district near Lazienki Park and Belweder. Very close to city center, yet very quiet and safe with a beautiful view onto the garden. If you are interested please email me at belwederek@gmail.com.

Cheers, Jan
